Norman YEEND - Director
Director, Norman Yeend has been creating professional models for display and television since 1981. His skills in model making, illustration and animation have seen him work on a variety of television series, commercials, music videos, feature films, as well as various museum and theme park displays. The past ten years have seen him direct numerous television commercials for international and local agencies, picking up several awards along the way, including a Silver Lion at Cannes , and a Silver Clio in New York .
In 1993 he made the, ABC/Film Australia funded documentary, ‘Muttaburrasaurus; Life in Gondwana' , which featured an abundance of Australian, (Stop Motion), dinosaurs. This film was shown on Australian television several times, and not only received wide cinema release, it was also nominated for an AFI award.
As well as Stop Motion Animation, Norman also utilises 2d, CGI, and even puppets, to bring scripts to life, and create imaginative and memorable characters and stories.
